After experiencing a horrendous quad-bike accident,
Rik, went on to develop epilepsy due to the nature
of the head injuries suffered in the accident. Despite
this he still enjoys a very successful stage and screen career.

Proving epilepsy is no barrier to acheiving your
sporting goals Jonty has represented South Africa
in 52 test matches, scoring 2532 runs. He was also
voted Cricketer of the Year in 1999.

A network set up in 2000 for young people with epilepsy
centred around a chat room on the web. Andy and Claire
enjoyed the six days sharing knowledge of epilepsy,
learning new skills and socialising with young people
from 14 European countries.
